The 6th or 7th floor would be great. Any room that has cabins above and below it, so the foot traffic doesn't bother you while resting.
KPfromCT Posted December 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Another vote for Lido balcony:D:D Just steps to grab a Guys Burger, or Blue Iguana Burrito, and beverage, and steps back to your balcony to enjoy them.:D Very quiet deck, but OH SO convenient!!!!! Keep us posted. Enjoy!!!!
soccersharon Posted December 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Have enjoyed deck 7 aft and Lido cabins on the Liberty. Would do both again any day! Not all sailings offer ES rates, especially when Carnival is offering specials. However you book, enquire of an ES rate is available. dmarie1623 Posted December 14, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 14, 2013 I love Lido deck balconies. Very quiet and very close to all the action! :D I will second that. It was quiet and convenient. I was able to enjoy my breakfast burrito, while still hot, on my balcony. :D
deborahjo Posted December 14, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 14, 2013 We are booked in a 4J on deck 10 for the second time on the Liberty. Did one October and doing next one in September with sisters right next door. Inside cabins for pricing but love the space and large windows. k9_Cop Posted December 14, 2013 #8 Share Posted December 14, 2013 I love Lido deck balconies. Very quiet and very close to all the action! :D I'll second that on the lido deck. We went and we had a cabin and my mom was 3 cabins away. Great location. My mom actually got the same cabin for our upcoming cruise in march Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

stargate fan Posted December 15, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 15, 2013 Any specific cabin numbers on Lido deck balconies that are quiet but located by elevators and outside area ? We sailed Liberty back in April. We were on the Lido deck, where we love to be. BUT...stay away from 9276 through 9294 and 9275 through 9293!!! We had a vent over our balcony (9276, the first cabin under the red section in the picture.) that sounded like a jet engine. The noise never stopped. We could even hear it with the balcony door closed. Forget about enjoying our balcony-we couldn't. The rest of the cabin numbers I mentioned were also under the colored section with no cabins above. Any cabin forward of that should be fine. That said, it is so nice being on the Lido deck. We were steps away from the pool, the buffet. If we forgot something in the cabin, it was a quick walk back. Kidsgoneletscruise Posted December 15, 2013 #11 Share Posted December 15, 2013 We had a balcony Dec 8 forward and loved it. No noise from above, convenient location to the middle elevators and awesome sleeping/balcony time. ;)

Rirruto Posted December 16, 2013 #13 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Another vote for Lido. We had 9226 a couple of weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Far enough forward to be away from foot traffic, elevators, and laundromat, but still close enough to all the action and food. Also was very convenient to get to the gym just 2 floors above. beachbum53 Posted December 16, 2013 #17 Share Posted December 16, 2013 We will be booking the Carnival Liberty for 8 night on Friday Aug 22 and wondering if anybody has advice for best 1) Balcony room and 2) best ocean view room, havnt decided which yet ? looking for quiet rooms but close to elevators etc Also how does early saver work and how do u book it thru carnival Thanks Craig and Tina We've been on the Liberty twice. For our first time, we booked a cabin in the Aft section of deck 6 (Upper Deck, cabin 6450, one of the "L" shaped cabins). We liked having the larger balcony. However, it is over the Victoria Lounge, so you do hear some noise from there, especially on Karaoke night. For our return cruise, we booked a cabin on Deck 7, Aft section (Empress Deck, cabin 7410), and it was much better. With cabins above and below, it was pretty quiet. Plus, we were right around the corner from the Aft elevators. A very convenient location for us. As to which balcony or oceanview cabin is best, that's hard to say. Try to avoid cabins that have have any public areas (lounge, casino, dining area, etc.) either above or below you, especially if you're sensitive to noise. Refer to the ship's deck plans when choosing your cabin. In order to make a booking using the Early Saver rate, you can either do it yourself on Carnival's web site, or call Carnival to be put in touch with a PVP (personal vacation planner). Be sure you understand the restrictions associated with the ES rate before you make the reservation.

Ruggled Posted December 16, 2013 #19 Share Posted December 16, 2013 One more though on aft balconies. Lots of people like deck 7 because you have decks above and below you. I'm here to tell you that if you handle a bit of chair scraping (and I mean dining chair, not deck chair) in the mornings, go for 8450 or 8457 AFT. These two balconies are larger than their counterpart aft balconies by nearly half. If you look at a pic of the rear of the Conquest class ships, you will see the difference. Other than the potential sound of the chairs in the mornings, this is a quiet room as it is under the Aft adult pool. And the balcony is simply fantastic. Also, close to the Lido (one flight up). Here is a post with pics from another thread. We were on the Liberty last month, cabin 8450. This balcony and the one on 8457 are about 50% larger than the other aft balconies on this deck. ViolaSwamp Posted December 16, 2013 #20 Share Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) I have sailed on the Liberty twice, once in cabin 8249 (quad) and once in 7334 (triple) and I very much preferred the location of 8249 on the verandah deck - very close to the action and QUIET. 7334 was right near the elevator bank, midship, and had the misfortune of hearing passengers thundering by the door all day and night. That cruise made me decide that I definitely like forward cabins MUCH better than midship for that reason!!
