Cruising89143 Posted December 16, 2013 #26 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Today it was -45 F with the windchill here. The temperature itself was -31 F but with the wind it was -45 F. It is AWFUL and FRIGID... I am (needless to say) counting down the MOMENTS till we are off to LA for our Azamara cruise!!! I may need two days to thaw just to be able to feel my fingers again!! Chass We just came in from dinner and it was 29 here with the wind chill. I thought that was cold. Yikes on your temps.
mikechass Posted December 16, 2013 #27 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Yeah it was actually, the COLDEST December morning we have had in 13 years. The crazy part is honestly, our cars run, we all still do everything we are used to doing.. errands, hockey games for the kids, Christmas shopping.. but truthfully, going away in the winter is the ONLY relief we have. It is cold from Halloween till late March, like parkas, boots, hats, mitts cold. By Late March/Early April we have our spring and by summer we are in the mid 90's and even have some 100F days.. so it is QUITE a swing of temperatures. I love this city, three seasons of the year... just this season SUCKS the life outta ya!!
SPacificbound Posted December 16, 2013 #28 Share Posted December 16, 2013 I don't know how you do it. I am cold if it is below 70F. Can't fathom having snow and ice, plus no one down here really knows how to drive with the least bit of slush. I can hardly wait until we leave on March 28 for San Diego and our Panama cruse. Of course by March 28 we should have good weather here again.
