Seeing "The Dig" at Atlantis, without booking through the cruise line

Recommended Posts

I've been to see "The Dig" a few times in the past and always paid for it through the cruise line, but I don't want to do a guided tour, I just want to take a taxi to/from Atlantis on my own time schedule. Does anyone know the price, or where to pay to see "The Dig" if you're just arriving at Atlantis by taxi? Also, the price per person for transportation and to see "The Dig" is now $59.00 for an adult, and I think that's gotten too high just to spend 2-3 hours looking at the aquarium and heading back to the ship.

We pre-booked the Atlantis Beach Day with Majestic Tours last year on our cruise. It was easy and no-hassle. The only advantage to booking with Majestic is that they have pre-purchased their day passes from the resort, so you won't be turned away in cases of high occupancy. I believe it was $69/pp (adult), and included access to all the aquariums (The Dig and Predator Tunnel), all the buildings, the beaches, and lunch at one of the quick-service venues. The only thing it didn't include access to was the water park.

Edited: You take a taxi to/from Atlantis at your convenience, and pick up your day pass vouchers from the Majestic tour desk inside the Atlantis resort. There is a small tour office in the Coral Tower where all the tour vendors set up shop.
