Good for Carnival. But they wont really get credit which they shouldn't because that is what ppl do, Rescue others in need. that's human. To bad it wont be good publicity tho. they need it. ppl seem to like negatives more than positives to talk about... Sad

It is good press for Carnival, but unless they have recently changed the laws, they are required to stop, unless there is another, more suitable rescue boat in close proximity. You are required by maritime law to aid any boat that has sent a distress call.

 

BTW- this maritime law has long been contested, because raising a distress call is a common trick used by "pirates" to lure rescue boats to them
