PBNJ620 Posted December 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2013 For anyone who has sailed on this , do you have any photos that you could share or any information? We sailed in a JS accessible on ALLURE and it was amazing! Wondering what the difference would be on Independence.
xxoocruiser Posted December 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2013 (edited) Following are some of the differences. Independence accessible JS interior is larger at 424 sq. ft. versus Allure at 390 sq. ft. Balcony for an Allure accessible JS cabin is larger at 107 sq. ft. versus Independence at 65 sq. ft. There are no electrical outlets by the bed in an Independence Accessible JS Cabin as there are in an Allure accessible JS cabin. The Allure is considerably newer and the room colors are much lighter/brighter than on the Independence . khcruisers Posted December 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2013 Just off Independence Dec.7th cruise and our HDCP cabin 1325 was excellent and large enough for my wife power chair to move around. Bath was flat and very large with seat in shower. Would book that room again. Halls were also wider (deck 10) than other decks on this ship. Only complaint was the on/off ramps were too short (only 2 feet) on both ends and were difficult to maneuver onto with her power chair. With crews help she could get off to visit ports. For the record Independence 1325 is an inside accessible cabin. Though the overall features are the same with all accessibible cabins, OP was asking specifically regarding a JS ( Junior Suite) accessible cabin which is substantially larger. Comments of this nature are totally unnecessary. They accomplish nothing, except maybe discourage others from posting valuable information. PLEASE, no more self appointed proof readers or censors . Any information for the handicap is valuable. It is definitely a plus to have the larger hall ways. Yes, both cabins are on the same hall way.
