Using sauna on Breakaway

Hello to All. Just booked short weekend cruise on Breakaway. Since I'm sauna lover, will I be able to use just sauna without purchasing spa pass? Will appreciate for any response.

To enter the spa area altogether, you'd need either a spa pass or a booked appointment to a treatment. So yes, you'll need the spa pass to use the sauna in the spa.

This is not entirely true. I'm possibly mixing-up my ships, but I believe at least on Epic there's a mini sauna in the gym change-room area, which is not part of the spa.

You need to purchase a spa pass to be able to use the sauna. Booking a treatment does not give you access to use spa facilities after your treatment. The only other sauna that is not in the spa is in the Haven courtyard and you need to be staying in a Haven suite to use that sauna.

Epic does not have a mini sauna in the changing area for the fitness center, it has a small steam room, as do many of the ships in NCL's fleet. These steam rooms are complimentary. I do not recall there being one in Breakaway's fitness center, albeit I didn't look particularly hard for the cramped, free steam room when I could use the big one in the spa :D

It was ENTIRELY true that I may have mixed up my ships, and that I believed it might have been the Epic with the room I said.

 

 

That's 3 caveats in one sentence.

I looked on the breakaway back in Nov, and there is NO steam room or sauna in the bathrooms of the gym for free.

 

Of course, I only observed one of the two gender based bathrooms...so who knows what is in the ladies room *wink wink*
