Hurricane Denis made sure we are all well prepared for Emily. As it seems to be a tempermental storm changing its mind every time you look at the next update.

Businesses are closing at varied times to allow staff time to collect any forgotten supplies. Some are chosing to evacuate with the memory of Ivan's destruction still fresh in thier minds... and others have concerns of security should the storm be strong enough to cut power for extended periods of time. Crime has been rising steadily in Grand Cayman since Ivan and many are sure to try and take advantage of an already bad situation.

We continue to watch carefully chosing to stay on island...unsure as of yet if it will be in our own home or on higher ground. (it sure would be sad to see all those brand new appliances flooded out again) For now knowing we are ready there isn't much to do but watch and wait.
