Lamanai Tour Operators in Belize ?????????

We will be in Belize off the Carnival Legend on 1/15/14 and would like to take a tour including a river trip and then to Lamanai. Can anyone recommend tour operators? I contacted Island Marketing but they are fully booked. Any suggestions?

 

Also would consider a river cruise and Altun Ha if anyone has any suggestions / tour operators?

If you are planning long excursions, I would book with Carnival. The roads are quite poor in many places and often 1 lane each way. Add to that the need to tender and getting priority off the ship when on a Carnival excursion, I would stick with Carnival. I did Xunantunich off the Legend last year with Carnival and it was a great day. We got back right around the last tender time. I did a shorter excursion this last trip and booked with a private tour company. For long excursions in Belize I would only feel comfortable booking with the cruise line.

Maybe do Xunantunich. It is a great day and it is up in the hills.

Thanks............ I have looked to Altun Ha and Xunantunich but would prefer Lamanai if I can find a reputable tour operator that isn't fully booked. Xunantunich is my second choice but the 2 hour bus ride is not a favorite.

No, the tours were fully booked

We found one in our research that offered a guarantee to get you back on time. If I find them back I will let you know. We also want to do Lamanai on our cruise in October, haven't fully committed yet though.
