Boudicca refit

Any feedback on Boudicca's recent refit?

 

I'm booked for September, and haven't been on board for five years or so.

 

I've read the Fred. press release, and seen a few pictures of Cafe Venus, but there's nothing about the Morning Light Pub, and the forthcoming Grill restaurant.

 

Any recent Boudicca cruisers care to share their experiences?

I'd really be interested in answers to this question as I'm considering a cruise on this ship (our first with this line). What a shame its so quiet on the FO board!

We returned yesterday from a 6 night cruise on the Boudicca. It's the first time we've been on this ship, but have sailed twice before on the Balmoral. We're happy to report that everything is looking shipshape. The dining rooms are light and airy. Café Venus is a pleasant venue for a coffee, but the chocolates for sale there are quite expensive. The outdoor Grill restaurant was advertising meals at a £15 supplement; this was reduced to £10 after a couple of nights. We didn't try it; another couple did and thought the food wasn't as good as the standard restaurant fare, but each to their own!

We really enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere on the ship.

I can confirm what the previous poster has written. Boudicca is in fine fettle and we really enjoyed cruising on her for 6 nights returning yesterday. I would recommend this ship. It is difficult to find fault. Really good.

Ohhhhhhhhhh excited !!! sailing on her in 9 weeks and she is sounding grand, was worried about the refit, this will be my 3rd time on board Boudicca, so glad to hear all is well :)
