Hello Cruisers!

We will be returning to LA on the Sapphire Princess on the morning of Feb 15th, and our flight from LAX isn't until 1700 - we were wondering if there are any suggestions on what to do with a day(ish) before heading to LAX?

LAX is a zoo so you'd want to get there 2 hours beforehand for domestic, 3 hours for international.

At the pier is the Battleship USS Iowa. No idea if they will hold luggage.

There is a phone number under customer service.

The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach will hold your luggage.

No idea how much a taxi would cost

Last year after disembarking Golden Princess from Hawaii we had about 8 hours to kill before our flight back to the UK. We booked a tour through Sunseekers LA. The tourvan picked us up from the port and dropped as at the airport and there was room to store our cases onboard. We went to Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Mel's Diner for lunch (pay yourself), Olympic park, up to the Griffiths observatory (but not in it) to view the Hollywood sign, drive around Beverley Hills, walk of fame. This was definitely one of my highlights, the guy was so friendly and informative . We did the full day tour but I know they did half day ones:)

It looks like you are on our same cruise. Our flight isn't till 1600 hours. We'd be interested in an LA tour with drop off at the airport if we can find one. 2 adults and 1 9yr old with us.

We were on the Sapphire Princess last year and our flight out of LAX was 6:00 pm. The plan was to stay on the ship as late as possible then go to the airport and wait. But while on the ship we booked a post cruise tour called "Long Beach on Your Own" through the Shore Excursion Desk. The bus takes you to Long Beach to do whatever you want to do for several hours. We visited the Aquarium and had lunch at a Mexican restaurant. Then at a specified time the bus returns to take you to LAX.

Good to know. Thanks.

Sunseeker tours quoted us $69 for a half day tour plus $25 for airport drop off. A bit much for a half day tour.
