fkfad Posted January 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2014 Can someone tell me how to contact the casino host of the Valor prior to our sailing (which is 1/26)? I am planning on coordinating a slot pull and would like to have the casino host involved (in some form)... Thanks!

fkfad Posted January 8, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted January 8, 2014 Not an answer to your question but what is a slot pull? I am on that sailing also A slot pull is where a group of us get together, each person "donates" $9 (for this particular slot pull), we pool the money together, select a $1 slot machine (one that has a maximum bet of $3 per pull), and each person who donated takes their turn at making three pulls of $3 each. At the end, the total winnings are divided up among the participants... I have read numerous posts about how much fun these are. In some cases, the casino actually participates by providing T-shirts, etc., as extra prizes for the participants (which is why I am looking to contact the casino host). breenw Posted January 8, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2014 You can just go to the casino host when you board the ship and make arrangements for what you want to do. They are usually very agreeable to providing things.

Georgiagolfer Posted January 9, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 9, 2014 Can someone tell me how to contact the casino host of the Valor prior to our sailing (which is 1/26)? I am planning on coordinating a slot pull and would like to have the casino host involved (in some form)... Thanks! I have coordinated these on 2 different ships. Just see the Casino Host 1st evening, let him/her know your intentions, and when you are planning the event for. Depending on time of the event, they may suggest another time or which machine would be best for you to use. Host/Hostess gave hats 1 time and T-shirts the other, without me asking. Good luck and have a good time.

FlipFlopCruiser Posted January 9, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 9, 2014 Our group did one last summer for the first time. I just talked to the casino host the day before we planned on doing it to make sure the time we chose would be ok. He told me to hold on a minute and went in the room behind the cage. I thought he was checking a schedule or something before he agreed it was ok, but he came out with a few t-shirts and coupons for the vault game to use as prizes! We gave shirts to the top spinners and then gave one to the person who hit the least amount too....just to be funny, it was the big loser prize. We had so much fun that the group asked me to set it up again for later in the cruise also. And he supplied prizes again too!
topspin1267 Posted January 10, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 10, 2014 I organized our last cruise. Had 27 people with 3 spins a piece on a wheel of fortune machine. We all put in $9 and walked away with $26 each:D
Anyislandwilldo Posted January 10, 2014 #12 Share Posted January 10, 2014 Will the slot pull be posted in the fun times or in the casino anywhere?
jiggs Posted January 10, 2014 #13 Share Posted January 10, 2014 Will the slot pull be posted in the fun times or in the casino anywhere? this thread is about passengers that put these together themselves so it will not likely be advertised. there is a slot tourney that is usually on sea days and is in the caper papers, run like a land based casino - mash the 'max credit' button for 5 minutes hoping for the best, make the finals get a tshirt, win the final round get $500.
