Captain's Club called me!

I received a call yesterday thanking me for cruising Celebrity again (Dec. Connie) and telling me how many points I received for the cruise.

Never happened before, but I thought it was a nice touch.

Maybe they are going to do something about those whom were onboard during the change?

Don't count on it! We sailed Nov. 21 & just received word that we will receive tier credits so we miss Elite Plus by 2 points! Oh well, there are other cruise lines & we don't cruise for loyalty, do we?

Actually the new program was announced on the 25th and the conversion from old credits to new points was done retroactively to this on Nov. 23th. We were on a Century cruise that started Nov.21st and we got the old credits which were converted at the 30X rate to new points and this was posted to our Capt's Club accounts while we were still onboard that cruise. The Capt's Club hostess, Jonette, even told those attending the Elite wine tasting on the 25th that this was going to happen in this manner.

If you are indeed just two new points away from Elite Plus that should not have happened if the X cruise you were on started prior to the 23rd and it would have given you 25 old credits.

I would contact X to have this rectified.
