Hampton Inn Ybor City or Residence INN downtown TAMPA

I need a hotel one night pre cruise and one night post cruise for a group of 16 people. I was thinking of the Hampton at Ybor City before our cruise and then stay at the Residence Inn downtown post cruise to enjoy the channelside area. SHould we do this or just stay at the Ybor City hotel both night before and after. It has been 8 years since Ive been to Tampa and would like to get the group in the right area.

If you haven't been to Ybor City in 8 years, you'll be delightfully surprised at the changes. There are so many nice new restaurants - along with the old favorites, like the Columbia Restaurant.

 

You might also want to look into staying at the Don Vicente Inn in Ybor. It's a beautiful boutique hotel that was built from a historic building a few years ago.
