best places for beginners

Are you going on a cruise or vacation some where? If you are a lot of excursions explain if they are good for beginners. On our first try at snorkeling we started from the shore, but swam out a good way to a coral reef. Everyone had vest so it was very safe whether you were a beginner or not. Check with any local dive shop in your area. There maybe some quarries or other place you be able to snorkel at in your own area. It is pretty simple so just give it a try. You will have a ball, and next you will be getting your own equipment. Enjoy!

Hard to go wrong for a first time experience at Coki Beach in St Thomas. You can rent gear right there and go in directly from the beach. Quite a bit to see and you can get a feel for whether it is something you want to do again.
