Steakhouse question

I am debating on doing the steakhouse on our upcoming cruise and am a very picky eater and am wondering if you can order the Yukon mash potatoes with wasabi without the wasabi.

When I eat in the MDR they don't have the wasabi in the potatoes

Also was wondering if you can get WCMC for dessert instead of that is on the steakhouse menu?

Trying to explain to hubby that it would be cheaper and easier just to go to MDR and he can order the steakhouse steak

The Steakhouse is a fine dining experience, not just food.

No, your husband can not get the same steak in the MDR and neither of you will have the experience of The Steakhouse there.

Yes you can make special requests with your meal.

I wouldn't even consider getting wcmc in The Steakhouse as their dessert is much better.

It is cheaper and easier not to go and it sounds like you don't want to bother with The Steakhouse anyway. So, going will have to be something you and your husband decide.

I take it finer dining is not your thing? Aside from the whole experience and service there is a difference in food quality and presentation.

For example the 2 wcmc below. 1 is from the MDR the other is from a fine dining establishment(Not on Carnival)

Yes you can have the mashed potatoes without wasabi, my uncle did.

I don't think so, they don't have in their kitchen, the chocolate sampler was really quite good! But I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Yes they do have steak in the MDR, but it is nowhere near the quality of steaks in the steakhouse. In the MDR it's banquet food, in the steakhouse your food is made to order, big difference!

I actually don't mind fine dining...it's a nice experience because I enjoy seeing hubby enjoying his food, and having romantic time , I am just not a foodie.

We have been to the steakhouses on our RCI cruise many times , and loved it.

I guess when looking at the menu and food porn pix on carnival... I have hesitations. I feel bad when I ask for something to be done different ,usually 1 thing per meal is in my comfort zone.... But it looks like I would be asking for 3

We love the Italian restaurant, and will definitely be going there.

We go at least once per cruise to the steakhouse, sometimes twice. I love it and compare it to Mortons or Ruth Chris for quality and atmosphere at half the cost. Try it at least once...I believe you will love it!

Really enjoy it but not on the same level as mortons or ruth chris.

Wonder if it is because the ships grill cannot get quite as hot as one at Mortons
