Sail and sign, room or person specific?

I have been elected to book our cruise for several of our family. I booked adjoining rooms, with 3 individuals in one stateroom, and my wife and I in another. Our three family members need to have separate onboard accounts, is that possible? Thanks.

The card you are given will only unlock the door to the room that that particular person is booked to stay in. You can set up separate "accounts" for each person in each room though. For instance: Me, my mom and my sister were in a room. We each put in our own credit card info though when we did our online check in a couple of weeks before boarding. It was very easy.

I'm guessing you and your wife will be under the same cash or credit card account. You will each be given a folio number. That is the number Carnival uses to charge to your account. You can keep track of your spending on your TV. If you enter your wife's folio number, it will show what she has spent. If you enter your folio number, it will show both your wife's spending and yours. So don't be alarmed when you see that yours is so much more than your wife's.
