Teen Club and Number of Formal Nights

We are booked on the Explorer 9 Night Itinerary in April. I was wondering how many formal nights there will be. Many posts said there are two but I have also seen a few that said there are three. Any recent cruisers who know for sure?

 

Also, we will be cruising with 4 teens (13, 14, 16 and 17). Does anyone know if the younger teens will be allowed to go to teen night club or if its only for the older group. Does anyone have teen compasses for a 9 night itinerary?

The teen club is for ages 12-17, it's normally broken up into two groups 12-14 and 15-17 but pretty much everyone does the same thing.

 

I can't help you with how many formal nights there are, sorry!

There are generally only 2 formal nights on a 9 night cruise. We were on a 10 night on Explorer and there were only 2.

Just did a 9 night in November and there were 2 formal nights. The crew on the Explorer are the best, have a wonderful time!

Great thanks for the info! This is our first cruise on Royal so we are very excited! Still looking for Teen Compasses if anyone has!
