Rosefloater Posted January 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2014 Where does the shuttle drop off people in town from the cruise pier? Looking at google maps to get an idea of the area, but hard to know where to go, what to do, where to eat without knowing this important piece of info. TIA They took us to the bus station in the middle of downtown. The malecon is right across the street from the drop-off and pick-up point. Check this link for more info on Loreto and La Paz. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1883448&highlight=la+paz Edited January 18, 2014 by swedish weave
SadieN Posted January 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2014 You also pick up the bus at the station. There are extremely clean bathrooms there. They charge a few pesos for them.

pulledporky Posted January 18, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2014 Hey Rose! The malecon there is pretty quiet. The opposite direction a couple of blocks is the shopping area. Check google street view and see if la Paz has been recorded. If you can sit on the right side of the bus going into town. Chance you might see a whale shark. We didn't but the guide said they saw one a few days earlier. At the bus terminal in town there were a couple of gals selling water sodas beers and some snacks. Grab a soda for your driver and guide. Back at dockside they had set up a bunch of trinket stands. Also had a stand with really good tacos. We're still debating on a swimming with Whale shark tour. Were the tacos as good as Taquiera Lindo?
