Mattingly23 Posted January 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) We're a family of 4. In the past we've cruised in one cabin, but kids are getting older now (and bigger). I'm looking at 2 cabins, a balcony and an inside across the hall for a Divina Caribbean cruse. I understand we must book them so that there's an adult in each cabin. Is it possible once we check in/board that we can put the two kids (12 & 14) in the inside with my wife & I in the balcony cabin? MotownVoice Posted January 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2014 Not likely your steward is going to be night cop, would be my guess. If it got noisy or something got broken, then you'd probably have a problem.
papcx Posted January 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2014 I've not had personal experience, but I'm sure you could do this. You would need reception to re-program your cards to open the correct cabins.
toes_in_sand Posted January 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2014 Yes, have your TA do a booking where 1 adult is in each room with each child, Ensure that the cabins are across from each other. Once you have set sail, go down to the front desk and just have the cards switched. The cruiseline already received their money for all pax, so its no loss to them. As for your room steward, as long as your kids are being respectful and are not leaving a mess for them to clean up, they really don't care. I may not hurt to slip them something extra. MotownVoice Posted January 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2014 I(t) may not hurt to slip them something extra. That's probably the best answer for ANY dilemma out to sea.
