I used a package on my trip in Alaska last August. Worked well. I liked not being charged for the incoming texts and missed calls. I did not get data. I just turned my data off and left the phone on and no surprise charges. I think it was about $60. Not a ton of minutes. , but about 60 outgoing texts. It really worked well, since we wanted to stay in touch with our 14yo DD being watched by our DS and DIL.
