lovestocruise19 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #77 Share Posted January 21, 2014 It's for diabetics. Wife will always ask for a container to put her diabetic tips into it. Ah ha. Mystery solved. I knew it was for something like that.

lovestocruise19 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #79 Share Posted January 21, 2014 We woke up a little after 9 a.m. and each took a shower. The drain was slow during my shower, so some water spilled onto the main bathroom floor. We went to brunch (formerly called Punchliner Brunch) and were seated at a large round table on the lower level of the Monet MDR. Soon after, a family of 5 and a son and father joined us. It took awhile to order and the overall service was a bit slow. Basket of breads: I had the Fruit Loop encrusted French toast and DH had bacon and eggs medium. DH said the eggs were really good and arrived to the table hot, but the bacon was mediocre. The French toast itself was good, but the cereal encasing it wasn't the best idea as the cereal loses its crunch when sitting all over the spongy French toast. We didn't feel like drinking alcohol so early, so we didn't end up using our free drink coupons.
lovestocruise19 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #80 Share Posted January 21, 2014 We went to the Lido deck to check out the weather and then back to the room to relax. For lunch, DH got a Guy's burger and I got two chicken tacos from Blue Iguana. DH and I both had chocolate chip cookies for dessert and I got a piece of key lime pie. I didn't like the top part of the pie, but I liked the rest.
lovestocruise19 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #81 Share Posted January 21, 2014 DH then took a nap and I went up to Deck 10 to catch some rays. Then I went to the shops. The lobby bar and lobby:
lovestocruise19 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #82 Share Posted January 21, 2014 After that I sat down on the uppermost tier of the main show lounge because Hasbro the Game show was supposed to start at 3 p.m. It ended up starting about 10 minutes late because they said they were having technical difficulties. I stayed just for the first game, Connect Four, and then went back to the room to read for awhile. Hasbro is a cute concept, but a bit boring to watch. lovestocruise19 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #85 Share Posted January 21, 2014 That night was the first elegant night and I had promised DH before the cruise that we'd only do one elegant night and that he didn't even have to take an elegant night professional photo with me (but he WOULD have to do a casual shoot sometime). I discovered the timer function on my camera and took this shot of us in the room before supper. I'm wearing what has become my go to dress for elegant nights on cruises. I had strawberry bisque, spaghetti carbonara and WCMC. DH had Cesar salad, prime rib and apple puff pastry.

lovestocruise19 Posted January 21, 2014 Author #88 Share Posted January 21, 2014 After supper, we went back to the room for a bit and then attended the 8:30 p.m. comedy show of the comic we saw the previous night. They had us exit the Degas Lounge and then re-enter for the 9:45 p.m. adult show with a new comic. Elephant towel animal! One of my favs! I ordered a Kiss on the Lips and it was okay. It was very peachy. After that show, we wanted to see one more, but they not only cleared the lounge, but were having people line up in a single file line to get in. By the time that was made clear to us, the line was snaking around the Alchemy Bar so we just said forget it.

lovestocruise19 Posted January 22, 2014 Author #99 Share Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) While I was up there, I grabbed some cinnamon buns for DH and I and some hot chocolate for me. When I got back to the room DH was up watching TV in bed. He heard the door shut when I left. Oops! We ate cinnamon buns in bed and then took a nap. Lol! I got up again at 9:30 a.m. to see the Victory on our starboard side. Edited January 22, 2014 by lovestocruise19
lovestocruise19 Posted January 22, 2014 Author #100 Share Posted January 22, 2014 I can almost taste that strawberry bisque. Unfortunately this will probably be the last time I tasted strawberry bisque. They are doing away with the cold soups on the American Table and American Feast menus I've heard. The funny thing about this particular one was that they used some kind of gummy thing in the middle instead of a real strawberry. That was actually fine by me because I'm picky and don't like the pieces of strawberry in it.
