KAS1029 Posted January 22, 2014 #26 Share Posted January 22, 2014 I sailed on the Breakaway in October last year on it's first sailing to the Bahamas and it was amazing! My father, his girlfriend, my sister, grandma and uncle all sailed together and we couldn't have had a better time. There was amazing entertainment every night from the Cirque Jungle Fantasy Dreams dinner to Burn the Floor and Rock of Ages. The casino was fun as always and the food was delicious... even in the buffet. I've been on a few Carnival cruises as well as on the Norweigan Jewel, and this was by far the best and biggest ship. There is just so much to do that there wasn't time to do it all, so make sure you make time to explore and enjoy everything on the ship!
youngestof9 Posted January 22, 2014 #27 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Thanks everybody. We booked it for the zoo that will be President's week. Already booked the dining plan, looks like that should take care of most of the complaints I've read. Hey GeeGee - I'm in Rockland too - it's so nice to be home in the morning and on the pool deck for lunch! Easy ride. Do you have the whole week off? We did Epic last President's Week and it was definitely crowded, but lots of kids for your kids to hang with.
geegee1 Posted January 22, 2014 Author #28 Share Posted January 22, 2014 ....to be home in the morning and on the pool deck for lunch! Easy ride... That's the main reason we're doing it. Don't want to deal with the hassle of flights with this crazy weather we've been having this winter.
kmc86 Posted January 22, 2014 #29 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Been on about ten NCL cruises. Dawn gem and breakaway. Was on third bermuda cruise on breakaway. Beautiful new ship. Great technology. Clean. Friendly staff. Was happy though to be in haven to escape crowds At times Do miss spinnaker on breakaway. Too many small bars and venues. Dont like having to reserve shows. If you have a problem. Address it with the officer or director in charge and give them the opportunity to correct it....they wont know unless you tell them....
