CaribbeanCuties Posted January 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2014 What is the best way to get to the Iguana Farm on your own? I am sailing Norwegian. Thank you!
Koali Posted January 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2014 I'm not sure where it is on the island, but I hear there are taxis at the port. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
bguppies Posted February 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2014 We did it as part of our day with Bodden tours... You have the driver for the day, to take you where you want to go, when you want to. http://www.boddentours.com/bestofroatan.htm Remember taxis in Roatan are unregulated, unlike Mexico where prices are fixed from the pier to all the tourist spots. So if you do take a taxi, make sure you lock down the price before you get in. (one driver might charge $20, the next driver $15...)
LostAgain Posted April 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Seven years ago we went to the Iguana Farm, against the recommendation of Tex, who was our Victor Bodden guide, and it was horribly smelly and dirty. So, last week when we were on Roatan again, I asked our Bodden guide (Big Al) where else we could see iguanas. He said that they had cleaned up the Iguana Farm and that he thought we might like it. We were so glad we took it advice. It cost $10 each to get in, which I think is steep in comparison to other Roatan prices, but it is indeed much cleaner, not smelly at all, and we saw many, many iguanas. It is a nice little stop on your Roatan tour.
