aam3 Posted January 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2014 I know that aft balconies are great...but would you book an aft oceanview room on a Fantasy class ship? We have a FWD cabin on hold on the Empress deck, but there is an aft facing room available one deck down. Which would you book?
Rare Tapi Posted January 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2014 We loved our aft facing OV on the Imagination. The wake view is so cool. And we had some ROUGH seas on that sailing. Friends that had porthole cabins all the way forward were so seasick that they couldn't be in their cabin. In the meantime, the ride in our aft cabin was just fine. aam3 Posted January 24, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted January 24, 2014 Thanks for the advice, Tapi! That's exactly what we were worried about, so hearing from you has really helped!
cruise_gal21 Posted January 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2014 This is our 2nd cruise and 2nd Fantasy class ship. Both have and are being spent in Aft OV. We loved the first one, no probs with motion, and got the same one this cruise :D Sent from my LG-L38C using Forums mobile app
Cruise Envy Posted January 24, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2014 I was in M267 in 2012. Otherwise I've been forward. I didn't have motion issues with either. I enjoyed the aft view, and it was nice to be able to take the AFT elevators straight up to the Lido or Serenity deck.
jjmsbu09 Posted January 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2014 I had an aft facing room on the Sensation in October (M269 I think). I actually didn't like it as much as an the ocean view on the side of the ship we had on the Fantasy. The main problem is the window is kind of carved out of the bag of the ship so you can only look strait back you can't see side to side...It was smooth sailing though.
