Skell Posted January 31, 2014 #226 Share Posted January 31, 2014 http://www.orlandofuntickets.com/Kennedy-Space-Center/ What site did you use for tickets? The best price I found was $44.95 + $3 processing fee. I saved $18, but always looking to save more :) Sent from my DROID4 using Forums mobile app

Rare Radio Posted January 31, 2014 Author #228 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Hello everyone. . . Good morning. Welcome to DAY 6 of “LIVE” from Carnival Pride. We picked up the Pilot at about 6:30AM, and started to approach the Pier slowly by about 6:45AM. We tied up by 6 and Passengers were allowed to go ashore by 7:15AM. I am very happy to see that Navigator of the Seas is here as she is finishing up her major dry dock. Navigator will be getting many new cabins, movie screen and several Oasis Class upgrades. We only have a few hours here today as we need to be back to the ship by 1PM for a Sail away at 1:30PM. I may just hang around the pier area today to see some of the new vendors that have opened up here. The weather this morning is cloudy and cool (60F), but the forecast calls for sunny skies, and 81F. I am sure when the sun comes up thing might get warmer. Here are a few pics of last night and our arrival this morning . . . Radio A view of Carnival Pride just before Sailaway last night. We say so long to Nassau and are on our way to Freeport We pickup the Pilot early this morning Carnival Pride approaches the pier slowly We are docked. . .Welcome to Freeport The sun really wants to come out. . .I hope it works. . Spiralshell Posted January 31, 2014 #230 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Absolutely loving your review, Radio! We'll be sailing on the Pride in a few weeks. Can't Wait!!! A question for you -- Does the Lido still have trays or have they switched to the new big white plates? I ask because I'm traveling with small children, so if the trays are gone, I'm thinking I may bring my own tray from home so that I can manage getting food for everyone at the buffet without having to make multiple trips. THANKS!!
dixieva Posted January 31, 2014 #231 Share Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) Here's a tip if you need a tray- order something from room service the first day and keep the tray. Put it away in a closet or something so the room steward will not take it away. BTW-they did have trays in Nov. when we cruised Pride. That way you don't have to bring one from home. mommy2jack Posted January 31, 2014 #238 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Thank you Radio for the beautiful pictures of the Hilton!! We're planning on spending our Nassau day there. We already pre-ordered our day passes. I love that its SO close to the pier and yet still so beautiful of a beach. Your report is making me even more excited and antsy for May! Enjoy you day!! :D
Virtopia Posted January 31, 2014 #239 Share Posted January 31, 2014 I can't see any pictures of the Hilton in Nassau. In fact, I can't see any Nassau pictures and I've gone back the last 3 pages. Maybe I will try on my computer - I'd love to see the Hilton as I will be going there for my upcoming Nassau stop. IMKTDQT810 Posted January 31, 2014 #241 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Hi Radio, Thank you for the great review & pictures!! One question I have while you are in Freeport. DH wants to make this port a "ship day" other then going to the few shops by the pier. He doesn't want to feel like doing an excursion at every port and this port (Out of our itinerary) is the least appealing to me. So I just wanted your personal take on this port. We will have DS (9) with us, so spending the day at Senor Frogs won't be happening. Can you post any on board specials (take a pic of the times) so we know what to expect as a perk for staying ship side at this port? Thanks!! There are many things to do on board while in ports. I will be posting all of the Fun Times when I get home. I have to scan them and post them on my photo board. There are over 30 vendors at the Port, so you can do several things. Radio ;);) .
Rare Radio Posted January 31, 2014 Author #244 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Hello everyone. Welcome to Freeport. . . Just as I was about to get off the ship this morning, it was pouring down rain. I waited about 15 minutes until it stopped. It was dark and cloudy for about another hour. The sun finally burst through the clouds and it turned into a gorgeous, warm sunny day (82F). I walked around the shops a little bit just to see what vendors were new. There appeared to be several vendors that were not here last time, and there was new construction going on as well. I decided not to go into Port Lucaya. I was considering taking a cab over to visit the casino, but I decided to just stay at the pier and look around. I talked with several passengers I met on board and we agreed that if the ship was going to stay longer, it might be fun to explore the island further by renting a car or scooter. The most popular sport at the pier was Senior Frog’s and the place was packed with happy passengers enjoying the good music. The “Bahamas Express” Ferry came in at around 11AM to drop off passengers from Florida. We were joined at the pier by Carnival Fascination around 1PM, just as we were about to leave the pier. We left the pier promptly at 1:30PM and sailed away with blue skies and beautiful blue seas. Each hour we sail North, we will lose at least one degree. Brrr. I am sure that the forecast for Baltimore on Sunday morning will be in the 20s. Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for tuning in. Radio Welcome to Freeport, Grand Bahama We only had a few hours to go on an excursion or walk around the port. The Straw Market stayed busy all day Senor Frogs was very popular with passengers It was very close to the ship I wasn’t sure which seat to use in Senor Frogs. . . . WetToes Posted January 31, 2014 #245 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Radio, the last photo about "which seat" has a brown block (?) covering most of it. The high Sunday - mid 50's. The morning should be mid 30's. Better than the teens we've had.
Rare Radio Posted January 31, 2014 Author #246 Share Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) Here are a few more. . . Radio It was nice to see Navigator of the Seas. . .Her dry dock will be completed soon. Passengers were happy to enjoy the sun Carnival Fascination joins us just as we are set to leave. . . A few last minute passengers board Carnival Pride for her trip back to Baltimore. Carnival Pride pulls away from the pier slowly We say so long to a lovely morning in Freeport. . .I’m sure I will be back again soon. .
