pepcab Posted January 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2014 Hello, I am going to re-try the Paleo lifestyle again. I lost 25 lbs last year, but have since regained it back. I will be starting Feb 1st. Any support would be greatly appreciated!!:)
snorkelman Posted January 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2014 Good luck with this diet. Those who enjoy and tolerate grains, but still go out of their way to avoid them, tend to experience psychological side-effects, including unnecessary feelings of deprivation, which can backfire & potentiate eating disorders. enborgle Posted January 27, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2014 I'm currently in the midst of a 30 day Paleo Challenge through my CrossFit box. For me, it works. Work your body and fuel it like the machine it is - in other words, eat to live, don't live to eat (something most of us have lost sight of in North America over the past 50-60 years). You will feel SO much better, you'll stop missing the crap that you used to put into your body. Before you put anything into your moth, make sure it's REAL FOOD, not a "food-like product." Remember, some of the extra weight you're carrying around will be from water retention and inflammation - it's not all fat. When you switch to Paleo you'll drop this weight easily, but the fat will take a little longer to come off. Perseverance is key and the scale is not the be-all, end-all!
