Boarding Magic After Belize

We just returned from the Magic. Disembarkation wasn't slow at all. They did send a letter that said it would be, but we chose the self-assist (carry your own bags off) and walked off promptly at around 7:45. Not a problem at all.

Getting on the ship, there was a delay due to fog. We were advised not to go to the port until 2 p.m. Some others in our group actually arrived before that and it was no problem to get on earlier. We arrived at about 2 and didn't wait long at all before embarking.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info - good to know. :)

Remember this is terminal 1 Carnival

Not terminal 2 RCCL where the issues are.

And there is only one ship in port while Navigator in dry dock

until next weekend,

when ICBP will have to be shared with both terminals.

BUMP...I would like to know if there has been any change in embarkation following a debarking Belize port on Magic.

Thanks! Cruising in 20 days!:D

Do you mean disembarkation?

Magic is at terminal #2 and generally no problems there.

And there has been great all around improvement at terminal # 1 with embarkation and disembarkation .

Of course if it is the Belize and Honduras run on either rcl or carnival ship,

then circumstances can occur beyond control of Cruise lines , Federal customs and immigration, and local and federal drug law enforcement . They will have to deal with it accordingly . And they will also have to take the extra time precautions that slows the rest of us down! That's life . And it is not a Galveston issue!!!!

Just remember in any port around the world it can be an issue!!!

Not just Galveston.

We cruise alot and have seen a lot of issues while traveling all over .

Thanks for the response. I am mostly concerned about the possible customs issues if this is what holds up boarding following a Belize route. We will be cruising Carnival April 5 which is the same day a Belize route returns. Which I guess you pretty much covered. I was looking for a current update I suppose as I have read TONS of reviews and ALL which have embarked following a Belize route have mentioned delays/late boarding. Cruising for the first time with kiddos so hoping to be prepared for the possibilities.:)

The ship won't leave without you!

You have cruised before, so you know what it is all about!

Enjoy your cruise with the children!

Besides we live in Galveston,

and could help if it did leave with out you!:)

For yourself and the kids in any event ........

Try to go to La Kings Confectionery on the Strand in Old Town.

Heck Come down early for Moody Gardens.

A good attitude is the difference between an ordeal and an adventure!

Patience is essential, especially with children!

Being happy does not mean that everything is perfect.

It should mean you have decided to look beyond the imperfections of your expectations.

Toes in the water,

Ass in the sand,

Not a worry in the world,

a Cold Beer in my Hand,

Life is Good Today!!!

Zac Brown Band!!
