jhubble Posted January 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2014 Wondering if there is a place to buy beer at the cruise port at Grand Caymen. We plan on doing a catamaran tour to stingray city and they allow you to bring your favorite beverage on board. I would like to take a small cooler of beer if I can get it before leaving for the tour. They don't have a bar on board the catamaran. Thanks! mrsfuzzmo Posted January 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2014 There are a few liquor stores right there close to the port. I'm sure you can get some there.

drew sailbum Posted January 27, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2014 Most of the liquor stores close to the port are licensed as duty free shops. Such stores will only deliver to the ship. There is a non-duty free Tortuga Liquors store in the Jack & Jill building, 19 Fort Street, which is next to the Legislative Assembly building. They can sell beer for you to take on your trip. Not sure what selection they will have cold.

We bought from there, maybe hubby would remember the beer selection if we are talking about the same place. drew sailbum Posted February 17, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Yes, as you walk from the waterfront inland the Jack and Jill building is on your left. The liquor store I referred to is at or near the end of the building.
