Majesty - First Time Crusier - Few Questions Please

Recommended Posts

Hi, this is the first cruise we will be going on, just got a couple of questions, if someone wouldn't mind answering them.

Can anyone advise if there is a Casino on the Majesty? Also are children (aged 13) allowed in?

Are there any teenager clubs (for aged 13?)

Can you take your own hairdryer?

Are there any tea and coffee facilities in your room?

Are the inside plus rooms much larger than the normal inside rooms?

Foods OK?

Entertainment OK?

Can you buy drinks (on the all inclusive package) to take off shore? (ie bottled water)

Many thanks in advance.

sorry no under 18's are allowed in the casino...there is a casino btw a nice, quite large one

in the school holidays they have teen gang? or something like (I believe its for ages 12 - 17)

cant help with the hairdryer...I think there is one in the bathroom (others will be more knowledgeable on maj cabins)

no tea & coffee facilities in cabin on maj, only available on celebration & dream

cant help with the cabins I have only seen one category...we had an outside plus it was spacious enough imo (others will know more)

food was fine for me, there are 2 mdr's both serve the same food one mdr is smaller and more intimate so there is a choice,

buffet set up is not great imo, not many tables inside so many people take their food out on deck or go down the stairs to the bar below to eat....we always found somewhere and food was fine, plenty of choices, no complaints here

showlounge is a little small and the stage is small but the showteam seem to cope

yep you can take your ai drinks wherever you like (bottled water carries a supplement btw)

Hi, will be able to answer some .

We loved the Majesty .

Food was very good, the self service restaurants On Majesty are both on the top deck near the pools and not so good if weather cold although in one you can take food down to the lovely bar below so not an issue ,we only used buffet midday anyway.

In the evening and for breakfast we used the Four Seasons MDR , food was fab! Service excellent and if you are all inc they keep the wine flowing all through your meal! Breakfast very good there too with a mix of waiter service and self service for hot English etc .

You def need a "plus" cabin as they are bigger than a standard which are a bit snug.

Yes there is a casino ,not sure about under 13's in there though. Also not sure about kids clubs ,sure there were some but didn't really notice.

Shows are very good, crew are fantastic and don't miss the crew show that's on once a week it's great.

You can't get bottled water to take ashore on your all inc but it's not expensive about one euro then buy more when ashore, they sell water as you get off the ship as you que up.

Yes you can take your own hair dryer, no tea making in cabins on majesty, lots take thermal mugs or flasks to fill and take back to cabins :-)

If there's anything else just ask.

Vicki :-)

Think there is a casino, but, sorry, not a gambler, so not sure of the rules

Are there any teenager clubs (for aged 13?)

Not sure :o

Can you take your own hairdryer?

Yes, I would advise you to as the one in the bathroom is rubbish

Are there any tea and coffee facilities in your room?

No

Are the inside plus rooms much larger than the normal inside rooms?

They are bigger and also more cupboard space. I have photos if you want to see them.

Foods OK?

We thought it was very good

Entertainment OK?

Ditto - very good

Can you buy drinks (on the all inclusive package) to take off shore? (ie bottled water)

Probably can, but better to buy the water ashore as it would be cheaper

Many thanks in advance.

Sorry, probably not a lot of help, but someone else will know the others :) Edited by CRUISIN LINDA

18 over obviously as gambling laws , food brill 4 seasons was nice and as vicki says wine kept flowing thru meal, captains night was great, it was also our first cruise so the tux was on , entertainment great, john smiths and boddies in cans and lager on draught, with smirnof and bombay sapphire included in the shorts, also try the cocktails, hope this helps. BTW we are on Adriatic explorer on 30yh may....Paul

Good info as we are on Majesty for the first time in May. We used the hairdryer supplied in the bathroom on the Dream and had no problems with it. We also have the thermal mugs for tea and coffee for the cabin. Water on Dream was £1.90 for 1.5l and £1.40 500ml if not on AI, and £1.40 and £0.80 if on AI.
