NCL Snorkeling Excursions

We will be on the March 22 sailing of the Getaway. Usually when going to St Thomas we do a private charter. However, this time around our ship gets in pretty early and of course, leaves earlier. Every one that I've called that could accommodate our party of 7, is not willing to adjust the sailing hours. So we are left booking the ship excursions. :(

 

From looking on the website there are 2 that have good reviews, but I was wondering if anyone has done both and liked one more than the other. We are looking at the St John Champagne Catamaran Sail or the Cap. Nautica Snorkel. Both are $79 but the Champagne is 4.5 hrs and Cap. Nautica is 3.5 hrs.

 

Hoping for some help! Also, open to other suggestions.

We'll be on the Getaway the same week:-) I haven't personally done either excursion but have come across several happy customer reviews on the champagne sail.

Since nobody has responded, I'll give my opinion though I've only seen these excursions in action.

 

Capt Nautica has a limited number of mini boats and goes to an off the beaten path snorkel spot.

 

Many of the catamaran excursions go to the same spots so there may be more people when you beach and snorkel.

 

Teens and active people would probably prefer Capt Nautica. Relaxers would probably prefer the champagne sail.
