Trolley tour

I see that Carnival has a trolley tour. It is about forty dollars for maybe a hour or so. My DH is not into beaches:( Not much is thrilling me at this site. So can you find similar trolleys cheaper if you don't book from the cruise line? Also is it a easy walk from the cruise ship to the main part of the town?

It is a very easy walk (10 minutes) to the downtown area.

 

The Trolley tour can be booked with the vendor (google atlantis + curacao) prior to the cruise or I believe they have people selling tickets when you get off the pontoon bridge.

 

You say that not much is thrilling you - what type of excursion are you looking for?

I like shopping but we like a little history or little tour but we don't want to spend the whole time on a tour.

There are two options you can look into:

 

* You can take the Trolley and learn the history of Willemstad while you pass by gorgeous architecture, floating market, etc. and when you get off (down town), you can stroll around and do some shopping.

 

* You can shop a little and down mainstreet there are many taxis lined up - you can ask for a short tour (maybe 2 or 3 hours) to see some of the island. They can drop you off at the ship so you don't have to walk back.
