Phone Service aboard Carnival Victory?

We are sailing Carnival Victory, one of our travelers just found out they have important telephone call to make on our day at sea. Phone call MUST happen. What is the best way to do this? We have cell phones, if we use the cell phone, will call quality be okay? He has ATT service. Is it even possible to call land from the room phone? Cost? Quality of call must be decent.

It will be cheaper to call from his cabin....$1.99 per minute.

 

AT&T when using cellular at sea is more like $2.50 per minute.

 

Call quality is fine as long as the cabin phone is working properly.
