PerferWarmWeather Posted February 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2014 We received an email from RCCL asking us not to come to the terminal until 1:30 due to limited space. Is this new, or can we still go around 11:00? Thank you
sweetcruiser106 Posted February 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2014 Serenade is late coming into port this morning due to propulsion problems. That is probably why boarding is delayed. Have a great trip. Anne:)

garnetpalmetto Posted February 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) The reason they're asking you to do this is because Serenade will be delayed arriving in New Orleans by about three hours. DW and I are aboard her now. The crew detected an electrical issue in a propulsion unit and opted to delay transiting the Mississippi until they could resolve it. We're probably not going to dock until around 10 and are currently near Meraux Edited February 1, 2014 by garnetpalmetto

garnetpalmetto Posted February 1, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 1, 2014 We're at all stop across the river from the Domino Sugar factory waiting for some barges further upriver to transit. The cruise was nice, a great way to avoid the weather that hit the South, though I understand it caused some to miss part of the cruise. Some complaints (demographic was not only a little on the older side but also unfriendly, some staff clearly dislike the ship, and there's not enough dining options open late, solarium closing at odd times for cleaning) but hey, a bad day at sea is better than a good day on land! garnetpalmetto Posted February 1, 2014 #11 Share Posted February 1, 2014 We just came alongside the cruise terminal...and promptly heard an Oscar alert which was soon cancelled when they recovered the person who went over. We're in Safari Club now waiting to disembark around 11:15.
