Cigars on breakaway

Hi - I'm booked to a breakaway cruise week before Easter and just wondered if you can get a cigar on board and if so where you're allowed to smoke it? Happy to bring some of my own ... It is vacation after all.

Thanks

here's NCL's smoking policy. I don't know if Breakaway has a cigar bar or not. I'm sure someone will chime in

We want you to be comfortable on board, so public areas throughout all our ships are smoke-free. If you smoke regular or electronic cigarettes, you can do so on your balcony, in the casino or in the Cigar Bar (where available). If you prefer pipes or cigars, you can smoke in the Cigar Bar or designated smoking lounge. Also, you can smoke cigarettes, pipes and cigars outside on open decks (just not around food venues, sports decks, kids’ pool areas and other designated nonsmoking areas). Smoking inside your stateroom will result in a $250 cleaning charge added to your onboard account.

There's Humidor Cigar Lounge on deck 8. Not sure if they sell cigars. You can smoke cigars there. It's next to Malting's.

There is a small enclosed cigar lounge on the Breakaway.

We have sailed many of NCLs ships and my advice would be for you to bring your own cigars.

The big problem with the cigar lounges on NCL is that cigarette smokers ignore the rules and pop in for a quick one constantly and ruin the cigar lounge atmosphere.

Occasionally a waiter will shoo them out but do not count on it.

Just off breakaway today. Yes you can buy on ship --very expensive-- not Cuban -- Bring your own. There is a very nice cigar bar -closed room Nice furniture-- and a door leading outside to deck, bar and sitting area....Smoking cigars allowed!! one of our favorite spots. Always nice people there

Safe sailing

I know I am going to catch a bat crap crazy amount of flak for this but anyway, Thank God...

I smoke cigars on my balcony and usually gets compliments on the aroma of the cigars I choose to smoke. I have never had anyone complain or call the front desk to ask me to stop.

Stinky smelling cigars are a product buying cheap cigars. ;)

Couldn't agree more. 3 years of working at a cigar bar in college taught me that!

I'm tempted to give the balcony a go an see what happens.

Enjoyed many a cigar in the Humidor Cigar Lounge last week on the Breakaway. As others suggest, bring your own cigars as their resident selection are overpriced dog-turds, including Gurkha - the Bud Light of cigars. :D

They have World Cup Football on the TV there. Great conversation with fellow cigar lovers too...

Anyone have any issues smoking cigars on their balcony?

Yes... DH was smoking his cigar on our balcony when our cabin steward told us it wasn't allowed. We never saw the change in smoking policy. We have sailed NCL many, many times and its never been an issue. Don't know when they changed it....

Just asked bro in law. He quit smoking cigars a couple weeks ago. Geez. What a buzz kill. Will have to get a couple cigarillo thingies for myself. Think it will be ok to smoke those in Humidor? Don't wanna piss anyone off ;)
