River tubing

With the post about cave tubing I am a little concerned about tubing in general. My group is really looking forward to doing the river tubing in Jamaica. Has anyone had a problem here? We are all ages from 9 to 58 and in shape and good health to not so good shape and health. I really don’t want to be the one responsible for taking my group on a dangerous tour so if anyone has any advice or stories please share them. What about other places that are not safe to do tubing? Thanks.
