rsr1220 Posted February 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2014 We booked a cruise on RC's Serenade of the Seas, 2-weeks back to back in Jan 2015 out of New Orleans. We are driving from the Dallas area and are looking for a moderately priced hotel near the French Quarter/Cruise Port for 2 nights prior to sailing, one that will securely keep our car at no additional cost. A lot of hotel web sites offer parking packages for 7 nights included in the cost of the hotel stay. Has anyone taken a back to back out of NOLA and left their car for 2 weeks at a hotel? We like Holiday Inn in the French Quarter, any recommendations or personal experiences? Thanks.
jeanneful Posted February 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2014 In Dec. we stayed at the Ramada Inn in Metairie it was only 119 a night and they let us park our car there for 14 days. They shuttle you to the port, plus they have a shuttle that runs to the French Quarter for free, they drop you off and pick you up. We really loved this hotel, the people there were soooooooooo nice. The was the cheapest place we could find, and the hotel is really nice

cruzin lady Posted March 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2014 We did a B2B, and stayed at the Hampton Inn in the Garden District. Parking was free. We loved it and the people were very nice and helpful. Ask for the stay, park, & cruise rate. It is right on the streetcar line (Saint Charles). It is a beautifully restored old home.
