Any cruise returning to the United States on or after December 31, 2005 will need a passport.

 

I would highly recommend a passport anyways, regardless of the rules that are being put in place. You never know when you might need one.

I would have never known about the new rule with the Passports unless reading this site!! Thanks for that info. I have 3 others who will need to go and get a passport for this next cruise!

I have a friend at the post office here, and he said more and more folks are scurrying to get their passports. He expects LONG lines and delays toward the end of the year. Don't wait too long, or there could be delays in getting them to you.;)
