Confused about BA - B2, B3 cabins on Jade

I noticed another old thread about this, where they didn't seem to come to a conclusion.

BA cabins on Jade are classed as mid-ship balcony cabins, and B2 - B3 family balcony cabins. In the description, BA contains a convertible sofa to sleep two more, and B2 - B3 "bedding to accommodate UP to two more".

We are travelling with two small children, 3 years old, and to me it sounds as though a BA would be better than the "family" cabin?! Does anyone know if the convertible sofa in BA cabins is actually larger than in B2, B3 cabins? Does "bedding" in this case include a pull-down bed?

Can this be seen in deck plans? I have come to understand that a filled triangle means space for 3, and a plus space for 3-4, is that correct? Some BA cabins have a plus and some a triangle.

On Jewel class ships in balcony cabins the sofa bed is always for one person (teen or adult), although you can probably get two small kids there together. The fourth bed in balcony cabins is always a pull-down from the ceiling in front of the balcony door partially above the opened sofa bed. So if you are booking four (even if two are small kids), you probably will need to book a cabin that has the pull-down bed even if you choose not to use it.

Usually with NCL the family cabins are just in somewhat more convinient locations for families (maybe closer to elevators/stairs to kids clubs etc) or have more connecting cabins than other categories, usually no difference in setup or furniture compared to the previously "best" category (BA in this case).
