What time can we board?.....

I need some feedback, please!

 

I am hearing conflicting reports on when we can board the ship. Our cruise leaves Galveston at 5pm. I have been told by RC that we need to be there at 2:30. Other people have told me that we should definitely be there at 11am or 11:30, so we can beat the crowd. Will they let you on board that early?

 

On our last cruise we left around the same time (5pm) and were checking in at 2:30- the lines were horrendous and check-in took forever! (that was another cruise line)

 

Just wondering what you regular cruisers thought about it! Thanks in advance for any input.

We always try to be at the pier between 11:30 and 12:00. We have never had to wait, just go right through. We are in the Windjammer for lunch by 12:30. We have had to wait until after 1:30 or 2:00 to go to our cabin on a couple of occasions.

Ditto on the previous reply. On July the 3rd we dropped off our son for his cruise around 11:00 am. We drove up at the terminal where about four other cars were. They checked in , had a few minutes to wait, then they opened up to board the ship. Like the above they were eating onboard by 12:00 or 12:30. We had done the same in May and the preceding January as well.
