Iamthesea Posted February 10, 2014 #26 Share Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) Our flights from TRI (TN) to FLL were $261 each. I was pleased, especially after they soared to over $600 pp about a week later and have never dropped back down. We are staying one night in a HI Express close to the pier. Includes breakfast for less than $200. There are 3 of us. Are you saying that you are coming in on the day of the cruise? BTW - We vacation in IOP at Wild Dunes. Have good friends that live on Sullivan's. Two nieces went to CoC. Edited February 10, 2014 by Iamthesea
roohound Posted February 10, 2014 #27 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Nice rate out of TRI. We're flying out of BNA and just booked a couple of weeks ago. Best rate we could get was around $500 pp. Fortunately I was able to use FF miles. Otherwise we were looking at driving down - yikes!
Iamthesea Posted February 10, 2014 #28 Share Posted February 10, 2014 YIKES! That's high. That's the problem with booking within a month of the cruise. When we do that, we always check the airfare before deciding to book the cruise. We try to keep the flight rates between $300 and $400 so that we can use our VISA points. If it is below that mark (yay,) we pay cash. After our flights to Europe in May, we should have enough FF miles to pay for our next airfare someplace.
