Question about half&half or cream for cabin coffee on Epic

I will be on the Epic April transatlantic for 11 nights and have heard the coffee is really bad. I intend to bring my own coffee, along with filters, to make my own in my cabin in the mornings. Can anyone tell me if I am able to get those little individual half & half containers on board somewhere to keep in my cabin? I also don't want to wait for room service delivery when I want my coffee.

Have no idea, but I never had a problem with the coffee, and I'm pretty picky.

We were able to get a pitcher of cream (it may have been half & half) from the cafe (where they did the specialty coffees). You might have some luck getting some at the buffet. The crew have always been very accommodating. All you have to do is ask.

If you are in the Suites, the coffee is quite good using the Lavazza machine so you may not have to bring your own.

Hope this helps! :)

On Norwegian almost all of the creamers on in the individual little creamers but they are Non Dairy which means they are like Coffee Mate. In the suites while they often place them in the refrigerator sometimes they do not and the Butler has always stated they do not need to be refrigerated. I took a close look at them last time and sure enough they were non dairy which for me is good because I am lactose intolerant and wondered why I could handle the coffee with my creamer better on NCL than I could on HAL which does serve mild or Half and Half.

Hate coffee mate and 'fake creamers' - any way of getting real cream? is there a fridge in cabin? maybe leave some in ice bucket?

Yes, pretty much all cabins on NCL fleet (at least the ~10 newest ships with the exception of studios on post-Epic ships) have a mini bar and you can ask the room steward to empty it out. One can usually get milk in small cartons from the buffet's cold cereal section, don't know about cream.

stewards will replenish the coffee tray in your cabin daily.

-2mugs

-2caffienated filter packs

-2de-caffienated filter packs

-packs of sugar natural and artificial

-4pack of cream containers 1/2 n 1/2

you can obtain/horde the small creamer containers at the buffet and store them in your cabin mini fridge. i discovered that the casino(level 7) has self service beverage stations that offer coffee at most times of the day if you want to avoid going to the buffet(level 15).

the closest you will get to cream on the ship is vitamin d in the small milk cartons. or 2% from the cold milk dispenser in the buffet. it would be a waste to use a carton of vit d for coffee so i settle for the 2%. unless you want to pay at the specialty coffee shop for the perfect cup is up to you

Thanks for the 'fridge' info - I am sure I can find some 'real' cream on the buffet and should be able to store some in the fridge if necessary! :)

You're going to want to bring your own and keep it in your refrigerator. The creamer is watered down half and half sort of thing.

Good idea making your own coffee if this is your thing. You will not get hot coffee anywhere on any NCL ship.
