How far out can you use phone/text on Pride?

We used walkie talkies through out the ship on our last cruise, worked great!

The towers have a max 21.7 mile range. So you could have service 21 miles out to sea, bit that depends on where the towers are at. Usually they're a few miles inland, since fish don't buy phones. Google search cell phone tower maps and you'll be able to see where towers are. I remember catching signals when going around Puerto Rico, and the us virgin islands last cruise. As well as when we were close to florida. Making our way back. I have att and have always had cell at sea going back to my first cruise.
