Can you go to the distillery for free and what can you do there for free? I know the tasting cost but can you do anything there for free? Any infor will help.

The tasting is free. There is a bar there which sells drinks, and you can get snacks and a light lunch there as well. It's an old estate, with beautiful grounds to wander around.

There are also special events taking place. Usually in the evenings.. not really geared toward cruisers who are only in port a few hours.

Yes, tasting is free but there is a cup for tips. The grounds were very nice but is quite a "hike" from the port, just follow the signs as it's not worth a taxi ride unless you have problems walking.

 

Rum was good but more expensive than wanting to spend right then. :)
