The Bronx Girl Posted July 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2005  Has anyone been to the Latitude party on the crown? Do you remember what the name of the painting that is raffled off at the Latitude's party and the artist's name?

Hollyspop Posted July 21, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2005 If they raffle off the same painting by the same artist on every cruise they must buy it back from the winner. Any idea how much they pay ????

Maraprince Posted July 22, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 22, 2005 HOLLYSPOP, Who is the company that runs the auctions on board...is it Park West Galleries? MARAPRINCE
Surfgirl Posted July 22, 2005 #7 Share Posted July 22, 2005 The paintings they raffle off are not originals... but reproductions like serigraphs. And, quite honestly.. as an art fan, I've found most of the artwork in the auctions absolutely horrendous! I was pleased, however, to see a giclee by Nino on my last cruise. It was no bargain, though. It was priced about the same as any gallery price found on the internet.
Maraprince Posted July 23, 2005 #8 Share Posted July 23, 2005 Surfgirl, So they are all reproductions and not real paintings? What is the name of the "painting" and the artist that is raffled off at each Lattidue's party? MARAPRINCE
