seahorse Posted July 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2005 Two more storms are developing in the Bahamas and the Caribbean:eek: Check out www.wunderground.com/tropical.... click on the blogs tab. May disrupt some Dawn cruisers. According to the blog this is most unusual in this area.
tigerlilycruiser12 Posted July 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2005 ANN I will be glued to that site this Sept and OCt. Looks to be very active this year. Got great price for the OCT sailing, but taking a chance on rockey seas. If the int. changes I do not mind because I am really going for the R&R on the Dawn. Just want to enjoy the Dawn and just chill. However, if there is a major storm out there, I may not chill as much as I want to. marie

Pic22 Posted July 21, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2005 Just an FYI:from www.nhc.noaa.gov As of 510 PM EDT THU JUL 21 2005 REPORTS FROM AN AIR FORCE RESERVE UNIT RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT INDICATE THAT A TROPICAL DEPRESSION HAS FORMED ABOUT 130 MILES EAST OF NASSAU. AN ADVISORY ON THE DEPRESSION WILL BE ISSUED SHORTLY. 5 Day projected path shows it doing a loop just north of the Bahamas, still early, any ideas where the Dawn would go? Would it go around, north, bermuda???? Guess I will find out soon enough.

Pic22 Posted July 22, 2005 #9 Share Posted July 22, 2005 Well the Dawn is in Nassua right now, bridge cam looks fine, but hard to tell in still picture in the dark. So it will be coming North tommorrow and will get around the storm, so going south should not be a problem, but will probably be a wet week in Port Canaveral, GSC(probably too windy as well) and Nassua. Just hope for the best and have a good time no matter what.;) Canada is in the 80's during the day and about 60 at night, about the same as the weather should be Sunday when we leave.
