jtwanabe Posted February 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) I just booked my first 7 day on Magic for Oct. Previously I've been on the Triumph and have some idea where the price can go to. What is the lowest price you have seen a 7 day on the Magic go to. Thanks, JT Edited February 15, 2014 by jtwanabe
Leo's Rule Posted February 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2014 I just booked my first 7 day on Magic for Oct. Previously I've been on the Triumph and have some idea where the price can go to. What is the lowest price you have seen a 7 day on the Magic go to. Thanks, JT I just booked my first on Magic last year for this October. I would say the cheapest is the rate I booked. Normally Magic is very high IMO...I come out better or paying the same rate leaving from Miami or San Juan after airfare & hotel. The October rate has gone up. I paid less than what's showing on the site. Sent from my Galaxy S4 using Forums mobile app

okgirl Posted February 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) I usually pay around $429 to $479 per person for an inside cabin on deck 6 midship. Last Halloween, I was booked on that cruise and then it came out as a Premier Casino Cruise and the rate dropped to $369. I was booked Early Saver so I got a nice OBC. We rarely pay more than $70/day for any cruise. We're leaving on the Sunshine out of NOLA tomorrow and we're booked at $449 with a $80 OBC from price drops. jtwanabe Posted February 15, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted February 15, 2014 I'm cruising solo and presently paying $938.00 which is about in the middle of of the range you stated. This far out I'm hoping to catch it going down. Thanks
picomullet Posted February 15, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2014 We always book a Spa Inside and final price is usually between $509-$549 pp. It is always higher when we book and then comes down. Watch for price drops being inside not spa you may more. $549 Apr 12 $509 Nov 12 $549 Feb 13 Love the Magic. It is a fabulous ship and has me spoiled. Sure wish Carnival would do 10 days out of Galveston. I can work up an itinerary that will work for them.:D

ekatiel Posted February 15, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) We leave tomorrow. We paid $1527 total (including taxes) for 4 in an inside cabin. It was $309 pp before taxes, but that's for 4 people. The rate for two people would have been slightly higher pp, as the third and fourth passengers tend to discount your rate. We booked on board in November. I never saw it go any lower. Edited February 15, 2014 by ekatiel
packedandready Posted February 15, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Got a mid-ship deck 8 balcony this past september for $639pp. :D
jtwanabe Posted February 15, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) I hope my math is correct but I paid $978 (solo penalty) or $489.00 each if there were two people on Sept, 28 @ inside cabin 1A. So sounds like I'm in lower end of the rate zone. Dose this sound right? JT Edited February 15, 2014 by jtwanabe

Topo Gigio Posted February 15, 2014 #15 Share Posted February 15, 2014 I have noticed that 2-3 weeks before the cruise, you can catch a cruise fare with no single supplement on the Magic if you are traveling solo. Guess there is a lot of competition in TX.

Rosethorn40 Posted February 15, 2014 #20 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Last year I paid $329 for a Spa Inside for the first week of March. I booked it 3-days before the Triumph incident. The day after the Triumph was making the news the price jumped to over $500, and then $600 pp for the same category of cabin.
