Oriana - Madeira arrival delayed

Wednesdays arrival in Madeira delayed until 4.00 PM. Weather conditions blamed but reduced speed also due to an overheating shaft bearing. Surprise ! Would have thought this would have been repaired when it happened last week

The CC news says that they are dropping another stop, admitting the problem in Engineering, and say they will inspect the shaft in Madeira.

 

What have they told the passengers and what do you think the feeling on board is?

I've read that Oriana will in fact be returning to Southampton early for repairs. Passengers will be able to spend the the final three nights of their cruise on board in Southampton. Apparently they'll receive either: a 40% refund on what they have paid or a credit equal to 100% of what they paid against a future cruise - passengers' choice.
