Are there lockers at the Royal Caribbean terminal in Vancouver?

Recommended Posts

We have some time from when we get off the train till we want to check in the on the ship. Are there lockers at the Royal Caribbean terminal that we can use to leave our luggage and go exploring Vancouver without checking in ? Or will Royal hold our luggage without checking in??

Thanks!

Royal have nothing to do with operations at the port - the porters (longshoremen employed by Port Metro Vancouver) will accept luggage from 10:30am. There have been reports of earlier luggage drop-off occurring, but that's the official start time - which still gives you several hours to wander around. No lockers - there is a separate baggage storage company, Priority Baggage, that operates at the pier if you really want to drop your bags off before the longshoremen start accepting them.

Check this schedule to confirm which of the two piers your ship will depart from - unless it's a very early or late in the season weekend it will almost certainly be from Canada Place, easily reached by Skytrain from the train station or a very short cab ride (should be under $15).

It's been my experience that the porters at Canada Place will have the luggage off arriving ships and will begin accepting luggage shortly after 0930...despite signs indicating the contrary, the porters do love those tips.:) If there earlier, in addition to Priority Luggage inside the Canada Place terminal to leave luggage the other option is to take it to the bell desk at the Pan Pacific or the Fairmont Waterfront and give them a tip to put it in their lock up for you.
