1sttimemariner Posted July 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2005 If you are interested in trying to get a room upgrade, do you need to get your name on a list or can you just check when you checkin? Also, if higher level rooms are no longer shown to be available when you go to the site, does that mean that there definately won't be any available for upgrade when you checkin? Murphy Posted July 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2005 If there are no cabins showing availability above your current category there is a slim to none percentage you will be able to upgrade. However, the process is to check in at the pier then go to the pier coordinator and see about upgrade. If they tell you there aren't any go to the pursers desk onboard and ask to be put on the upgrade list there as well. The purser's desk will not be able to do any upgrades until after you set sail, but if someone didn't show up or if someone else wanted to swap cabins for some reason, the pursers desk option sometimes comes thru when the pier coordinator couldn't. Thanks, that is good to know!
