Alwaysoncountdown Posted February 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2014 I'm not excited about spending 3 hours round trip to do an excursion. Is that just the way Belize works? Any suggestions on something close to port? For those that have done the zip/tube does that commute diminish the excursion or not really an issue? Sent from my iPhone using Forums I haven't done the zip/tube excursion but its just the way Belize is. Most of the excursions are more then an hour away and its not a very scenic ride either. When I was there in November 2012, I did the ATV excursion and with the ride there and back was somewhat disappointed with Belize. Maybe look into a beach/snorkeling excursion? They may be a little closer if they leave from the port.

kaybeeeeeee Posted March 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2014 We just came back and did the cavetubing with cavetubing.bz and had an awesome time. They also had zipling but we didn't do that. yes, between tendering and the subsequent bus ride it took about 30 minutes to get to the excursion site but we thoroughly enjoyed it and Vitalino and his staff treated us royally. Alwaysoncountdown Posted March 5, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks for reporting back. That's who I booked with as well. We are doing both. Was the ride only 30 mins? I've heard reports of nearly 1.5 hrs. Any suggestions or tips for the excursion? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Sent from my iPhone using Forums I did the ATV and it was about an hour 15 mins and the cave tubing people stayed on the bus to go further. I think I did it with Vitalino too. Is he cave-tubing.bz? If so, it was them I booked through.
